The Critter Sitter was created when I needed a change of career and desperately wanted to do something I enjoyed. I racked my brains thinking what I could do as my previous career was very different; but animals have always been a huge part of my whole life.
I have always given my free time to helping animals and animal charities.
I have always been the first person everybody has asked to help look after pets whilst on holiday and I have cared for a great number over the years.
I have my own fur family; my 14 year old cat Merlin, our ten rescue bunnies, 10 year old Benjamina (my oldest and well known by all)-all of whom inspired the logo.
Our other Buns are Henry, Molly, Lola Bill.i.am, Saffy, Ginger, Sage, Sunny & Angel. We also have Holly the Wally fish.
I needed work that could fit around school hours and that my daughter could be involved in. My daughter herself said she would like to grow up to be a 'critter sitter'...what more inspiration could a Mum need?
I am aware of situations where family members have been taken into hospital and had to juggle visiting hospital and tending to pets left in the home; I can take care of this for you.
I have known people racing around trying to let pets out and juggle getting pets to vets etc and I know how precious time can be for working people.
I also know our pets are family members and their care is important, so, if you are struggling to take care of some of their needs such as cleaning their environment or other tasks, I can help with this too.
I offer dog walking services, but I can also be a 'walking friend'-offering company and reassurance for those who may struggle with mobility or may have lost confidence and would like a companion, by walking the dog with you.
If you run a Small Holding, Cattery or Kennels and have busy times and can’t commit to employing somebody on a full or part time basis, I can work the hours on an ad hoc, as and when basis.
All work is priced on application based on how many pets you require care for over, over what time frame and where.
I aim to offer a unique, personalised quality of care and help with your pets at prices you will be happy with.
Having a mixture of smaller animals, I know there is not much available in terms of care for little critters while you are away - something I knew I could offer.
